Diversity & Inclusion Award
This award seeks to reward a pest management company that recognises the importance of diversity across their business, taking one step further by actively tackling inequalities and removing barriers. The judges will be looking for a company that has created an inclusive workplace in which all employees of all backgrounds and beliefs are valued with special measures adopted to promote diversity across gender, race, age and to include those with disabilities.

Innovation of the Year
This award is open to any business or individual whose primary activity is controlling pests. i.e those businesses or individuals who go out onto a site to deal with pests, rather than suppliers to pest controllers. This is an award that recognises the role that innovation plays in the sector; entrants need to demonstrate an innovative solution they have created to a unique situation. This could encompass a new method of dealing with a challenging pest, a new business idea or business development concept that came to fruition in the past 12 months.
Please confirm the primary activity of your business is pest control (as opposed to supplying those who control pests).

This award acknowledges the work of a Local Authority pest control operation. The winner will have a highly committed and professional team who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty, with a real focus on skill development and progression.

Pest Controller of the Year
THIS CATEGORY IS OPEN TO EVERYONE IN THE PEST CONTROL INDUSTRY, INCLUDING TECHNICIANS, FIELD BIOLOGISTS AND SURVEYORS. The Pest Controller of the Year will show the highest level of professionalism and commitment to their work. They will be well informed about new and existing products and are expected to provide examples of how they innovatively deliver for their customers. The judges will also want evidence of how they continue learning and how learnt knowledge is applied and benefits their business.

Sustainability Initiative of the Year
This award is open to any business or individual whose primary activity is controlling pests. i.e. those working on site controlling pests, rather those supplying to pest controllers. The Sustainability Initiative of the Year accolade rewards those prioritising stewardship and sustainability within their work. Entrants must demonstrate how they consistently deliver best practice and have adopted innovative and sustainable solutions to the benefit of their business, stakeholders and customers, within the last 12 months. Entrants will also be judged on how they have reduced the overall environmental impact of their operations.

Young Pest Controller of the Year
THIS CATEGORY IS OPEN TO EVERYONE IN THE PEST CONTROL INDUSTRY, INCLUDING TECHNICIANS, FIELD BIOLOGISTS AND SURVEYORS. This award recognises the contributions of young pest controllers within the sector, while emphasising the importance of attracting new people to the industry. The judges are looking for a winner who is committed to enhancing personal skills and knowledge, by keeping up-to-date with learning. To qualify, the pest controller must be under the age of 35, as of January 1, 2026, and have been qualified for fewer than 10 years.

1. The organiser of The National Pest Awards (the “Awards”) is Pest Magazine, Lewis Business Media (Arts), Suite A, Arun House, River Way, Uckfield, East Sussex, TN22 1SL (the “Organiser”). 2. By submitting an entry, entrants confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, including any instructions provided within the online entry form. 3. The Organiser reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse or disqualify any entry it considers to be inappropriate, non-compliant, or otherwise unsuitable. 4. Any individual or company that won a category in the previous year is not eligible to enter the same category in the following year. However, they may enter other categories or submit an entry to the same category where it relates to a different innovation, campaign, or project from that previously awarded. 5. There is no restriction on the number of categories an entrant may enter. Each entry must be submitted separately via the official online entry form. 6. All entries must be submitted via the official online entry form by 11:59pm on Friday 15th May 2026, or such later date as may be permitted by the Organiser. 7. Entries will only be accepted if fully completed and accompanied by all required information and supporting materials as specified in the online entry form. 8. The Organiser does not accept responsibility for any entries that are not successfully completed or submitted due to technical issues, including (but not limited to) network, system, or platform failures. Any entry that is incomplete, corrupted, illegible, or otherwise fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of the Organiser. 9. The Organiser reserves the right to reassign any entry to a different category if it considers this to be more appropriate. 10. Entries will be judged by a panel appointed by the Organiser. The Organiser may also consult additional expert advisors where appropriate. 11. The judges reserve the right not to make an award in any category if, in their opinion, the standard of entries is insufficient. 12. Finalists will be notified by email and will each be offered two complimentary tickets to the Awards ceremony, taking place on 9th September 2026 in London. 13. One winner will be selected from the finalists in each category and announced at the Awards ceremony. Trophies will be awarded only to category winners. 14. Details of finalists and winners may be published on social media, the Awards website, in Pest Magazine, and on www.pestmagazine.co.uk. 15. The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to the Awards is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process or outcomes. 16. Winners and shortlisted entrants may publicise their achievement as a category winner or finalist, provided that the year in which it was awarded and the category is clearly stated. 17. Winners may be required to participate in post-event publicity and, by entering, consent to the use of their name, company name, and photographs for promotional purposes without additional compensation. 18. The Organiser grants winners and finalists a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Awards logo in connection with their win or shortlisting until 8th September 2027.
