Rentokil is using AI to help the technician – it identifies whether the pest is a rat, mouse or bird, or something else, and only sends photos of the pest that needs to be dealt with directly to the technician.
Large Company of the Year

Beaver Pest Control employs 96 staff, including 55 highly skilled frontline technicians. One of the five main Orkin UK brands, following its acquisition in October 2024, Beaver’s newest division, Drainage & Proofing, employs eight full-time staff.
Lifetime Achievement Award

Sabra Everett is group marketing & public affairs director at Killgerm Chemicals; she joined the business in 1993. Sabra is a former vice chair and chair of the NPTA and earlier this year, she stepped down as chair of BASIS PROMPT, after a nine-year stint. Her contribution to the development of the sector has been invaluable.
Local Authority of the Year

Hull City Council regularly checks neighbouring properties, due to pest migration. Tom Copeland, the council’s chartered environmental health practitioner, says experience is his team’s biggest asset.
Pest Business of the Year

The sky is the limit for Beaver Pest Control. The South-West London-based business says people are its greatest asset; it will shortly launch its portal, MyPest, which enables reporting in real time. The business currently provides its technicians access to more than 60 different training courses.
Pest Controller of the Year

Scott Demetriou has worked at Beaver Pest Control since 2017 and has built a reputation for customer service, problem-solving skills and expertise in drainage, proofing and pest control. When it comes to drain surveys, Scott says the most manholes he’s had to lift, on one job, was 80!
Small Company of the Year

Established in 2019, Atlas Environmental Services will take on its sixth technician before the end of the year; Jacob Sidorewic says he’s 36 years old, that pest control is the career for him – and 10 technicians and vans on the roads of the Northwest is doable.
Sole Trader of the Year

After a career in children’s social care, Guy Wiseman moved into pest control full-time once business was busy enough. His biggest regret? Not getting into pest management sooner.
Sustainability Initiative of the Year

Gemma Sutherland, service manager at Pest Solutions, says that the company has made real business changes and it’s not just offsetting its carbon footprint. Pest Solutions has joined the Step Up to Net Zero programme and is working with Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.
Unsung Hero of the Year

In her spare time, Anna Mollins, who is widely known for her work at Veritas pest Consultancy and PestFix, has developed Pest Minds, a platform to raise mental health awareness in the pest management industry. She is encouraging more people to have conversations and speak out.
Young Pest Controller of the Year

Working with his father, Adrian, at Pest Risk Management, Hayden Gough has turned his life around 180o. Hayden has an unwavering passion to provide the best service the industry has to offer – he is looking to progress to RSPH Level 3 this year.
